What is a Citizens Police Academy?
The Citizens' Police Academy is an exciting and educational program designed to teach the public about what it is that police officers really do. The CPA allows people to learn more about law enforcement from those who actually do the job. While participants will not become experts, they will learn about many different aspects of the job.
By allowing the public to learn about the operations of the police department, we hope that we will continue to build strong relationships with the public and combine our efforts to improve the quality of life in Granville.
What will I see or learn about during the Citizens Police Academy?
Patrol Operations Patrol Procedures
Firearms Safety Crime Prevention
Home Security Narcotics Identification
Field Exercises Community Relations
Accident Investigation Child Abuse
